This auction is for a Vintage used 1990 Cannondale Black Lightning SR500 road bike. This bicycle is in pretty good condition, although it is not all of the original componentry. The front fork was at some point in time replaced with the steel SR300 fork and all of the drivetrain has been replaced with a Shimano Sante group (details can be seen below). This bike was hand built in the USA of Cannondales 3.0 Series aluminum and features their signature smooth welds, racy geometry and cantilevered stays (the 1990 model year was the only year the Black Lightning came with these stays). The Black Lightning model waws only made for 3 years, this being the final year it was produced. The paint is in pretty good condition with some minor chipping in the paint here and there and some other areas that have been touched up (please see photographs for details).
