Vintage 1986 Trek Elance 400 Triple W/ Shimano Continental Madone 1000 1200 1500
For sale is an oldie but a goodie. A vintage 1986 Trek Elance 400 Triple road bike in 50cm (center to top) size. Bike is in great condition and recently had an extensive tune-up at my local dealer. New Bar tape and rear derailleur cable. Item is near stock from ’86 except that I put some integrated shift/levers and a 7spd freewheel on it. This was a substantial upgrade back in the day and is a nice feature over old style downtube shifters. This combo alone goes for nearly $80 on eBay. Bike has been used sparingly over these last few years due to another bike which I prefer. Rather than have this one sit I decided to see if it could go to a nice new home. Much information can be had at vintage-trek.com so feel free to use that as a resource. Bike is in great condition with only a few nicks and rear rim has a slight wobble. Bike is 100% functional and ready for your next ride out of the box. This is a great bike to turn into a fixie, to get your significant other out for a ride for a great price, to have a winter bike to commute, or if you need a bike to try a triathlon- there are so many reasons why you should buy this bike. Pedals are not included.
