Specialized Roubaix Sl2 (s Works) Dura Ace Road Bike
Up for auction is a 2009, S-Works Roubaix SL2 complete road bike. The brakes, shifters, front and rear dérailleur are Dura Ace with the shifters upgraded in 2011 with the shifters that hide the cables under the bar tape. The bike was recently serviced and has new cables and new chain. The crankset is an Ultegra compact (50/34) with 175 mm crankarms. The wheels are bomb proof Mavic Open Pro with good rubber. The bars are Deda Elementi, the stem is Ritchey WCS and the saddle is a Koobi Enduro. Pedals are not included.
Specialized designed this as an endurance bike, but it is light and responsive with an oversized bottom bracket for great power transfer. Even with the heavy Open Pro wheels, the bike weighs in around 15.5 pounds. This is the same model bike Tom Boonen uses to race Paris Roubaix, so it is more than an endurance bike. This has been my backup bike, has been lightly used (frame has less than 3,000 miles) and deserves to be ridden. The bike retailed new for $8,500.
Frame details include: S-Works FACT 10r carbon, Zertz inserts, and an oversize BB, which means it’s light, comfortable, and super-efficient.
The S-Works FACT carbon fork features an oversize race for an unwavering front end; the vibration-absorbing Zertz inserts are there to take the edge off.
The S-Works SL FACT carbon seatpost is light, stiff, and tough. And thanks to its Zertz insert, it’s forgiving, too.
Here is a link to the Specialized website for the 2009 bike, which will give you detail on the bikes geometry.
