2009 GIANT TCR ADVANCED M/L Dura Ace7800 ROAD BIKE

This was a TCR Advanced 3. I purchased it with approx 500 miles on. It was upgraded with Full DA7800 parts including a new TCR 1 carbon sterrer tube fork. All parts were replaced with lighter parts, making this baby weight in at 15.5 LBS. This was my spare bike and it gets no riding time. It now has approx 1200 miles. (I prefer my compact gears on my Team Edition Giant). Any other questions just ask.

Size Large that is used in EXCELLENT condition, This is being sold for Bill who is a gentleman rider and just got a 2012 Defy Advanced Sl ISP…(D/A Di2) Giants lightest Production Frame, so this one needs to go. This is an endurance geometry with a shorter Top-Tube taller Head-Tube designed for the ALL day ride rider. Coffee stops, site seeing and adventure. What could be better? Great ride, Great bike…and a journey… It utilizes Giants own grade carbon, so it is light, stiff and comfortable to boot.

It comes with Pyramid time trial bars, shimano pedals, Ferrari seat, Spin rear wheel, Rigida front wheel and all Shimano componentry. The bike still looks brand new because I have stored it indoors since I got the bike. The bike needs a cpl inner tubes and as far as I can see that is all it needs. Frame and Wheel is auctioning a 2007 Giant Trinity A1 Size M 50 cm time trial frame set on the Frame and Wheel eBay Store. The frame set was purchased new from Exeter Cycles in Exeter, New Hampshire in 2008. It was raced in a local time trial series until the end of 2010. It was used twice in 2011 and has been in storage. The frame set has never been crashed. The owner is a masters category cyclist and he is selling the frame set because he no longer races frequently enough in time trials to justify hanging onto the frame set. The frame set has always been stored indoors. The frame set features Alliance Technology (aluminum head tube, down tube and chain stays combined with carbon top tube and seat stays with a seat post that is half alloy and half carbon), Alliance Technology formulaOne Composite front fork, aerodynamic down tube, asymmetrical top tube, cut away seat tube, aero seat post, horizontal rear drop outs, internal cabling on the top tube and down tube, double water bottle cage mounts and red on nude carbon finish. The frame set as shown weighs 2.70 kg (6 pounds). The serial number on the bottom of the bottom bracket shell reads GY627922. The serial number on the steer tube reads GL6X4122. Review of condition

The frame set is in very good condition. It is clean and ready for build. There are no cracks, bulges, flaking or flexing that raise concerns about the structural integrity of the frame, the fork or the seat post. The rear drop outs are in alignment with the centerline of the frame and the rear derailleur hanger is straight and undamaged. There is no wear on the back of the seat tube or along the chain stays. The cable stops are mounted firmly and free of obstructions. The front derailleur hanger is undamaged and mounted securely. The steer tube is not bent or showing any bulges. The front drop outs are in alignment with each other and the front fork blades are not bent. The front drop outs have safety tabs. The crown race is mounted securely on the front fork. The cartridge bearings move smoothly and the headset is not missing any parts. The head set races are not pitted or corroded. The bottom bracket threads are not stripped or corroded. There is no corrosion in the water bottle bolt holes.

Frame and Wheel notes the following. There is a 1 x 10 mm white scratch on the non drive side of the top tube near the Trinity A1 lettering. There is a 2 x 5 mm chip on the drive side of the top tube. There is wear on the top tube near the intersection with the seat tube from a strap. There are three 2 x 5 mm chips on the non drive side of the seat tube towards the top of the post. There is a 1 mm chip in the finish on the leading edge of the non drive side fork blade. There are three 1 mm chips on the bottom of the down tube from road grit. There is wear around the front and rear brake bolt holes. There is wear on the front and rear drop outs.

Frame and Wheel conclusion

Frame and Wheel’s view is that this is an excellent time trial frame set that will suit the road cyclist who wants to have a time trial bicycle on hand for a local time trial series or stage races. It will also suit the triathlete enthusiast who seeks to upgrade to something fully aerodynamic and practical. The frame set is in very good condition with many hours of fast riding still remaining in its carbon and alloy tubes. With a set of aero wheels, the built up bicycle will be as fast as its flashier cousins and its voice will inspire the will to suffer against the clock. The new owner will derive satisfaction from building up the bicycle and knowing that excellent value was obtained.

Bike is incredibly smooth riding, the carbon fiber dampens road vibrations.

Relaxed geometry provides a very comfortable riding position.

Drivetrain is 3X10 comprised of Dura Ace shifters, Ultegra crankset, cassette, front der. and rear derailleur.

Wheelset is Spinergy, they are high quality wheels featuring fiber spoke technology. Michelin Pro 3 tires have approximately 50 miles of use, they are great tires.

Bike is used and thus has typical wear and tear from usage. There are small nicks and little scrapes from cable rub and regular use. 2009 Giant TCR Advanced 1 Road Bike – Medium/Large – Dura-Ace
Note: This is the TCR Advanced with the all carbon fork including the steerer tube. Other TCR Advanced bikes include a fork that has a metal steerer tube and therefor are significantly heavier and have a worse ride quality. Do your research before you buy!

*No wheels, No Pedals, No Saddle

This bike is awesome! It is stiff and
fast. It also makes you feel very comfortable on fast, tight corners and descents.
It is amazing how comfortable I can go down a steep hill on it. Also, it has been taken care of and kept clean.

The Dura-Ace gruppo is in great condition and has been
ridden as little as the bike has. I am parting with the bike to scrap up some
money toward a new bike. My new bike will also be a Giant TCR Advanced. I am
planning to experiment with a smaller frame size because I felt this size was a
little to big for me. Also, this is one of two bikes I own and I bought this bike
before starting graduate school. So it has been ridden on and off since getting
it in late 2009.

I am not at all a sprinter or a pedal masher. I consider
myself a climber. I weigh 150 pounds so the bike has not been stressed by any
means.

There are a few marks from normal wear.
Once my friend did a crappy job placing the bike on a car trunk bike rack and caused the decal to be scratched on the fork a little. Also, one area near the chain, a chip (caused by road debris) goes deaper than the clear coat but absolutely nothing structurally damaged at all nowhere on the frame. I had this confirmed with my bike shop. Please see the last two pictures.

The bike does not include the wheels, pedals, or saddle that is shown in the picture. The wheels are 2004 Reynolds Stratus
Carbon Clinchers. They are fast and light weight. There is nothing wrong with
the wheels and I would be willing to sell them but I feel because of their age
I would not get what they are worth to me. If you are interested in getting the
wheels too I am open to negotiation. I am thinking I could give the wheels up

Up for auction is a 2010 Giant TCR Advanced SL ISP frameset in size Large/58.5cm, matte black and white finish. This is one of the most revered carbon frames for stiffness and rideability. It has been ridden for training over the last 12 months, approx 4500 miles and shows very minor wear. There is 1 minor ding on the carbon above the fr derailleur (detailed in images). I am including 2 Elite fiberglass bottle cages and a Shimano Dura Ace bottom bracket at no charge. No crashes, a few dings, no dents, no cracks – this framest is clean. New the framest has an MSRP of $3400.00, save big now!

Details:

Frameset: Large (58.5 top tube) Giant TCR Advanced SL ISP matte black/white finish, steerer tube has approx. 10mm spacers

Cages: Elite Fiberglass White/Black

ISP: Cut to 73.7cm from center of bb to top of cut, with collar measurement is 76cm from center of bb. Comes with several spacers and cutting tool for fit. I am 6’2″ and my general seat height is 78.6cm from center of bb to top of saddle. With spacers you have a lot of versatility even with the cut post.

Comes with full set of spacers, cutting jig and cable quick adjuster as shown.

Saddle: None

Some notes: I have tried to show all wear and blemishes in the images, please realize this is a 1 year old frame and is in great condition, but has been ridden and has some minor chips on the seat post where the collar mounts and some scuffs. This bike set up is fantastic. The Bike itself is a perfect touring bike for those who want to ride all day or a great commuting bike for those wanting to keep it green and save the gas. I have included everything you will need to get out the door and do some riding.

1. The bike itself is stock ’07 Giant OCR 2 components with approximately 400 Miles on it
2. The bike has an installed Wireless Specialized Speedzone computer (see pic) on it for speed, distance and time. It is compatible if you wanted to get a telemetry strap to see heartbeats and cardiac output.
3. The pedals are Shimano Clips and are great because they are flat and can be used with or without clips on your shoes (shoe clips included in the sale).
4. The tires are great for touring or urban commuting. The bike has Specialized Armadillo Tires and they offer increased puncture protection.
5. I am including the following accessories in this sale (all seen pic):

- Specialized Handlebar Tape (yellow).
- 2 Specialized replacement inner tubes.

2003 Giant Ocr 1 Aluminum Frame With Carbon Fork

This is a wonderful used frame that is in good working condition-perfect for someone new to cycling or looking for a second bike.

The frame shows wear consistent with its age and usage. As the pictures show there is cable chaffing along the top tube and the carbon fork has a few minor scrapes. This bike has never been involved in a crash.

This frame includes an updated quick release seat clamp and a Profile Design quill adapter in the headset to accommodate all road stems.
