The Raleigh Bicycle Company is a bicycle manufacturer originally based in Nottingham, UK. It is one of the oldest bicycle companies in the world. From 1929 to 1935 Raleigh also produced motorcycles and three-wheel cars, leading to the formation of the Reliant Company.

ATTENTION: I’m no a bike expert. Some of my tech description maybe erroneous. Absolutely NO intent to mislead or deceive, instead, it is because of my ignorance of the subject. Please, feel free to ask any questions prior to bidding or buying my item, thanks.
This bike is probably worth more if I part-out with it, by selling the components seperately, but here’s a try: Vintage Raleigh road race bike. According to the serial number, 2G0222, bike was produced in 1972, and I’m almost certain, but not totally sure, it was produced in England.
Mostly garage in it’s lifetime, the bike and it’s component are in generally well preserved state, with consideration to it’s 40 years of age. The Raleigh head tube badge and seat tube logo’s are in nice condition.
There are paint chipping, that has minor rusting in places on the frame (circled in red), and some minute rusting of a few components, which are unremarkable. There are also 2 very minor dents. One is difficult to catch in a photo (circled in yellow). The seat tube has a ding and a paint chip (circled in green). Saddle has a tear of the leather (left rear) circled in blue.
Bike is equipped with both Campagnolo Record and Brev groupset, which includes Brev on the chaining gears, cranks, pedals, brake systems and top and bottom headset. Bike pedals are also Campagnolo with Ale, Fratelli Allara, Torino, gold colored toe clip.
Campagnolo Record on both front and rear hubs, while standing on Mavic MA3 rims. Rear de-raileur is also Record, front de-raileur is labeled only with Campagnolo name. Downtube shifters, bike seat post and front and rear skewers are also labeled/stamped with the Campagnolo brand.
The leather saddle is a made in Italy, San Marco Concor Profil, Super Corsa. The butted tube frame is made of Reynolds 531, a manganese-molybdenum, medium carbon steel bicycle tubing.
Handlebar and stem are made by Specialized. Frame size is 56 cm, with six (6) speed cassette and two (2) gear set in front, makes for 12 speed powerband. Tires are Turbo 700x23C. Although the bike rides fine, a good lube and tune will optimize it’s performance.
This bike will only be shipped to the lower 48 states. Flat shipping rate is $129.95. Due to the large box size, I will not ship this bike to APO/FPO, PR, HI and AK, very sorry. Local pickup is highly encouraged and welcome, after payment with Paypal. No cash transaction for local pickup.
