Vintage 1971 BIG YELLOW Schwinn Varsity. Measures 24″ from the center of the crank, to the top of the seat tube. 32 5/8″ Standover Height. Bike is All Original, except for the rims and tires. Very Respectable Old Varsity, that hasn’t been of victim of being left outside in the rain. Shows a few scratches here and there, with some minor surface rust. Paint Still Looks Really Good, for an old bike. Bike hasn’t been ridden in years, and will need new tires. A full tune-up is recomended. A Great Old Classic!

Hi this is a complete bike allmost all original. seat and the post are diff. i’ll send the campy post with missing the lower two bolts. bike had roofing fall on it. scraped and a small dent from that. frame seems straight though and rides great. had it tuned up. it’s fast and light. has the sew up tires aired to 120 but should be replaced soon. because of the dent this could be for parts but i’ll ship the hole thing for 65.00 in a big box. all parts are great. a slight scrape on the derailer. and normal light scratches from the age. all campy grand sport weinman brakes toe clips campagnalo dropouts. the frame is about 35 1/2 inches off the ground the front is 7 inches it’s a big bike thanks more details on seattle craigs list might help

Used but not abused. Perfect for a build up of a fixed gear bike or a complete restoration project. The frame is 54 cm from middle of bottom bracket to top of seat tube and 700 cm wheels fit the bike. The paint is rough in places but there are not rewelds, dents, or bent frame parts. The frame comes with the fork, gooseneck, headset, and front derailuer.

1972 Schwinn Paramount P-13

1972 Schwinn Paramount P-13. Serial number L72274. 23″ from center of crank to top of seat tube. 32 1/2″ stand over height. My wife and I are retiring to Arizona, so she told me it’s time to thin my bicycle collection. I purchased this P-13 a couple of years ago from an ebayer in California mainly because I wanted the Campagnolo Rally rear derailleur and the freewheel that were on it for one of my P-15’s. I replaced the rear derailleur with a correct Patent-72 Campagnolo Nuovo Record and the freewheel with a Regina 14-28 that I had sitting around (the 28 tooth cog is probably too large for the derailleur to handle, so the freewheel should be changed before you do any riding). I also replaced the old chain with a new Regina Oro. In addition, I replaced the Campagnolo low flange/tubular wheels that were on the bike with a set of Campagnolo high flange/clincher wheels with Sun Mistral anodized rims and Schwinn Pro Circuit tires that came off of one my P-15’s (the wheels are 700c and I wanted 27″ wheels on my P-15). I replaced the dried out Campagnolo brake hoods with some sharp looking Dia Compe anatomic ones and retaped the handlebars with vintage Schwinn cloth tape. In addition, I replaced the old Campagnolo brake cable housings with new ones (the brake cables themselves were in good condition) and the old Campagnolo brake pads with new Kool-Stop ones. I also replaced the old Campagnolo derailleur cables with new ones.

The frame is free of bends, dents, or dings (when I disassembled the bottom bracket to clean and grease it, the inside of the bottom bracket shell still looked like the day it was built). The bike was repainted and clear coated by a previous owner and the new paint has nicks and scratches, the longest scratch by the downtube shift levers (see photos). The chrome plated frame parts look good from a few feet away but upon closer inspection there is some peppering. The mostly Campagnolo components are all in good to very good condition.

This is really a beautiful bike. It’s a 1991 model in almost perfect condition. The only things keeping it from being “perfect” are some chips in the paint and cuts in the grip tape.
Mechanically, the bike is pristine. The shifters operate without a hitch and the brakes can stop you on a dime if you need them to. I wish I was shorter so I could keep this, but there’s just no getting around the fact that I’m too tall for it.

This is a one of a kind race bike with the newest top of the line components. The bike has been professionally maintained and has very low miles. I just replaced the tires and they haven’t touched the road. It is extremely light and with the Full Dura Ace 7900 groupo it is by far the best shifting and component group out there. Only normal wear from minimal use and cable rubs. There is a small scrape on the rear derailleur and left shifter hardly noticeable, but this bike has never been crashed or dropped. I bought this bike new in July 2009, rode it 200 miles last year and just 100 miles this year. (After injuring my right hamstring in January, my cycling decreased a lot this year.) I’ve examined the bike closely several times this weekend in preparation to list it, and aside from minor wear to the chain and cables, the only differences in appearance from when I bought it are a few minor scratches to the Roval decals on the inside of the front rim (likely from how I hung it on a bike hook in the garage). Otherwise, this bike looks almost exactly as it did when new last summer. The bike has never been crashed or otherwise on the ground and is in excellent overall condition. This is the best bike I’ve owned (lightweight carbon frame and full Dura-Ace components), so I’ve taken excellent care of it (always stored it in our garage and cleaned it regularly). I’m selling it simply because my leg injury has lingered this year and has caused me to curtail my cycling. About the saddle: After I bought this bike, I sold the Specialized saddle that came with it (since it didn’t fit me) and have put this basic Bontrager saddle on it for this sale.

Description

Here is an original 1970s VINTAGE men’s 27″ 10-speed road bike. It has been suggested that this bike is a Raleigh. (possibly a Record model?) If you have any idea or info to share, it would be greatly appreciated. It has been painted red. If you like better quality original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. It was always stored inside in a clean dry area. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

*The bike features 3-piece cranks, Suntour Seven derailleurs, Shimano Tourney Center Pull Brakes, and more! It has a butted tubing frame. It is a better quality road bike! Check out the nice looking handlebars tape! Take a look at the cool kickstand as well!

*The tires are 27×1 1/4″. They are vintage tires and do hold air. The bike has chrome rims front and rear.

*The bike is an original TEN SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (may need adjustment or possible cable replacement)

*DIMENSIONS A great size bike for a taller rider! The stand over height is approx 35″. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 35 1/4″. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 24 1/2″. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22 1/2″. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.

*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is ok! (see pics) The bike has been repainted. It has 3 piece cranks with a chrome bar on one side and an aluminum on the other side. The bike does not have a spoke protector on the rear wheel. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality. Overall it is a cool good quality bike!

*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price

Trek Madone 6.9 Carbon Fiber Frame Set 62cm Project One

This auction is for a 2010 Trek Madone 6.9 Pro 62cm Frameset. The frameset includes the frame, fork, headset and seatmast. The bike is less than a year old and is in excellent condition. There are no major blemishes. Once assembled it would come close to passing for new. I had the frame custom painted. The colors I chose was a charcoal clear coat (that lets you see the carbon fiber), a metallic platinum and orange as an accent color. It is understated but unique. I have really enjoyed the bike. The seat mast technology makes for an extremely smooth ride. The massive downtube, integrated bottom bracket and asymmetric seattube make for a very rigid drivetrain. I’ve included a picture of the complete bike so you can see how great it looks. The frameset was made in the USA. Hi, up for auction here we have a vintage Raleigh Grand Prix 10 speed road bicycle. This bike is in great condition mechanically and the paint is pretty nice for a nearly 35 year old bike. There are a few chips/scratches here and there, but they don’t take away from the overall beauty of this bike. They just don’t make them like this anymore!There are no dents, rewelds, bends or rust on this frame. A complete overhaul was just completed on this bike which includes: disassebling the bike down to the bare frame and cleaning and oiling the parts removed. Cleaning out all the old grease from the bottom bracket, headset and both front and rear wheel hubs and adding special waterproof grease. New cables/ housing and new cloth bar tape were also added when the bike was reassembled. The wheels are straight and the tires will last for a good while. If you are looking for a good campus bike or just a nice bike to ride around the neighborhood, this would be a perfect bike. Components are: 20-30 high tensil steel frame and forks, Weinmann brakes and levers, Simplex derailleurs, Rigida rims with Normandy hubs, GB alluminum stem and bars and a Wright’s leather seat in excellent condition. Dimensions are: seat tube-22&3/4″ctc, top tube-22&1/2ctc and standover height is 32&3/4″. This bike is SOLD AS-IS with no warranty stated or implied. Shipping will be about $55.00 to the East coast and $70.00 to the West coast or you can email me for an exact amount. As always, this bike will be professionally packed using foam tubing for the frame and forks and lots of bubble wrap for parts removed for shipping. This listing is for a 2009 Specialized Tricross Pro in a 58cm. It is effectively the ‘expert’ (not the pro) frame, with other components on it. I purchased it as a frame only, and they print the ‘pro’ on it instead of the ‘expert’ when you buy the frame only (despite the identical color scheme and bike). The bike was used during the 2009 – 2010 fall-winter-spring seasons as a cyclocross race bike and a winter training bike. This bike has about 700 miles on it. I’m selling it so I can buy a new one this next year. The 2009 Expert (with lesser components on it than what I have it built with) retailed for around $2800 (depending on what dealer you went to). Schwinn Paramount Mens Road Bike – 57cm

Here is a real head turner for those looking for one of these classic American road racing bikes – The Schwinn Paramount. . This 57cm, 1985 example was designed and hand built in Waterford, Wisconsin and is equipped with Campy Nuvo Record components. In the winter of 2007 it was returned to the factory for an original color repaint, new decals and some update modifications. The rear triangle was spread to 130mm to accommodate more modern wheel sets and the cable guide on the top tube was replaced with a cable stop. The ‘07 invoice for this work is shown in the photos section. Be sure to see and click on the thumbnails images to the right of the main image below.

In addition, the original headset was upgraded to a Chris King sealed bearing unit with a new stem and handle bars. It also has a new Terry Fly saddle plus new Campy brake and shift cables. To complete the refit it was recently serviced throughout.

Here is an original MARCH 1976 VINTAGE (serial number is CN) men’s 27″ SCHWINN CONTINENTAL 10-speed road bike. It is in the original and very appealing MAGENTA colored factory paint. This appears to be very original paint for the bike from 1976. YET, I looked in the Schwinn lightweight data book for 1976 and could not find this color offered in the Schwinn catalog!? If you like UNIQUE original bikes, this may be a great bike for you. It was always stored inside in a clean dry area. With the insanely high price of gas (and the economy being bad) now is the time to ride a cool vintage bike!

*Check out the cool chrome forks! The bike has center pull brakes and a quick release front wheel! A cool better quality Schwinn!

*The tires are 27×1 1/4″. They are vintage tires and do hold air. (they appear to be newer replacement vintage tires with low miles) The bike has chrome Schwinn rims front and rear.

*The bike is an original TEN SPEED and the gears do operate. The hand controlled brakes are operable as well. (may need adjustment or possible cable replacement)

*DIMENSIONS A great size bike for a slightly taller rider. The stand over height is approx 33 1/2″. The distance from the floor to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 35″. The distance from the center of the crank to the top of the seat post clamp is approx 24 1/2″. The center of the handlebar stem to the center of the seat post is approx 22 1/4″. The bike will accomadate most any rider comfortably. The seat height is easy to adjust.

*NOTED FLAWS It is not 100% flawless but is nice! The paint looks good for a 30+ year old bike! I did not see any decals with a model name but I believe this to be a Continental. The chrome is shiney but is not perfect show quality.

*This appears to be a fairly nice original unmolested bicycle unless otherwise noted. A great bike to ride on relaxing days through the park or to the beach. Also would be a nice item to display in a shop, restaurant, rec room, sports bar, etc. Stand out from the crowd and be the envy of people who see you riding by. People will enjoy seeing you on your vintage bike! A great classic bike at a great price
