Up for auction is a 2009
Cannondale Six 5- size 51cm with full 105 compact group and Ultegra SL rear
derailleur. The top tube is 54cm. This frame takes the lightweight
and stiff front end that Cannondale is known for and pairs it with a smooth
riding carbon fiber rear. The
seatstays are ultra thin like the Cervelo R3 or R5 and really dampen and road
vibration. The chainstays are huge
and really put the power to the pedals.
This is no wet noodle.
I paid $1700 for it and it
was used primarily for training rides and a two short Sprint triathlons. It has about 1200 miles on it. I have since purchased a dedicated Tri
bike and this has been sitting in the garage waiting for a new owner. I have owned CAAD 7, 8, and 9 bikes and
this one has been the smoothest. The
frame is in great shape and the components are just getting broken in. Notice there is no shoe rub on the
cranks. The bike fell over once at
a tri transition zone foot pace.
The frame was not hit, but there are some very minor scratches on the
right shifter and rear derailleur.
This does not affect the function at all. It has a small paint chip in the top tube shown in the last
picture, a really small paint scratch in the fork, and the seat is from my
mountain bike so it has some scratches on it.
This is your chance to get a
great road bike, training bike, or put some tri bars on it and race
triathlons. It is a sweet ride and
you will not be disappointed.
