2010 Specialized Tarmac Sl3 58 Cm / Xl Carbon Sl2
Basically new—1 day, and 52.47 miles, out of the box direct from Specialized. Did not even hit the showroom floor. Nude carbon (only color currently available I believe). I bought this on a Friday, built it up that afternoon (I’m an ex shop wrench & ex pro-triathlete—–I know what I’m doing when it comes to building bikes), and rode it on Saturday AM. Unfortunately it just doesn’t fit my build—-and I REALLY wanted to race this bike next year—the buzz about it has been off the charts—I’ve been on the waiting list for months. 99% of dealers don’t even have this yet, and won’t for months.
This is the XL model, 58.2 cm top tube (sloping) and 55 c-t seat tube: basically everything you need to know is on Specialized’s website which apparently I’m not allowed to link to.
This auction is for the frame, seatpost, S works carbon stem 130 I believe (95% sure)–note the stem did not come with the bike & has more miles on it but it is in excellent condition (else I wouldn’t have put it on the bike)), fork (it is cut—there is 1/2″ of spacer avail either above or below the S works stem—-note the Specialized frames have a very tall headtube designed to eliminate the need for a stack of spacers—unless you are huge (and I’m 6′4), you won’t need more rise (and if you do it is better to use a 12 degree stem vs spacers anyway))–see the pic for details, and headset + all the manuals/written material from Specialized. The registration card is blank (lifetime factory warranty), and I can even give you the original receipt as well if you want. I pulled this straight out of the box—it will be shipped to you just the way it was shipped to the store from Specialized.
There are NO marks on the frame aside from both dropouts where the wheels went in. I pulled off all the lawyer/legal warnings. The Specialized sticker with the frame # is still there. It has exactly 52.47 miles on it and for all intents & purposes is like new.
BIN is $2750 & includes free the US domestic shipping via UPS ground, and the S works stem is included (to offset any concerns about the fork being cut (and if you have any, compare the Specialized head tube length to other manufacturers—-trust me, this isn’t going to be a problem for 90% of the riders who will be riding/racing this bike).
A couple of reviews/previews are already out–do a search for Specialized SL3 2010, or goto the web pages for Cycling News, Road Bike Action, ro Bicycling & they are easy to find.
Check my feedback & bid with confidence. If you want to check out the frame in person in SoCal, I’m near Pasadena in Arcadia. This IS the 2010 SL3 that everyone is waiting for; if you don’t BIN somebody else probably will. Overseas buyers with a 100+/100% feedback I’ll consider shipping to, but you’ll pay ALL the shipping charges, I won’t put $13.00 or whatever as the value for your customs, and my responsibility ends when it leaves my door.
